Agriculture Focused Financial Planning

The Agriculture Focused Financial Planning designation (AFFP) provides financial service professionals with a body of knowledge to better serve the financial needs and goals of clients associated with agriculture or living in rural communities.

Is AFFP for You?

The designation is focused on assisting insurance agents, investment advisers, bankers and registered representatives of broker/dealers who office and work on “main street” America. However, anyone with interests in financial planning and agriculture will benefit from this professional certificate.

Dig Deeper

This is a unique financial services designation, positioned to enhance the ability of a financial professional to meet the needs and better serve farming, agribusiness, and rural clients. Holding the AFFP designation tells your customers that you have a deep understanding of land, legacy, agriculture and the unique needs of rural America.  This designation was developed through the College of Agriculture, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences with experts in farming, land management, financial planning and risk management. Holding out this designation identifies you as qualified and competent working with farmers, ranchers and communities built around agribusiness.

Known in the Farming Community

This designation will be promoted across agricultural magazines and platforms, including Illinois’ own FarmDoc.
